Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre

Approximately a 15 minute walk, or 5 minute drive east down Bay St. from the Sault Ste. Marie Days Inn, you will find the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. The Centre is a must see if you are a fan of aviation and history. The Centre is housed in an old Ministry of Natural Resources waterfront hangar, and is home to dozens of planes and displays that relate to this vital part of the Province’s Nortern History. Explore the history and adventure of flight with a visit to the Bushplane Centre. The Centre is located at the eastern end of Bay Street, also along the waterfront boardwalk. This waterfront hangar offers more than 25,000 square feet of interactive, hands-on aviation and forest fire displays.
